How my friend helped me to get on the fast track
Sometimes some things may appear as little, but they are not. Let's say for example, there is a person who has been traveling in desert for a long time. Some robbers robbed him and took away all his money (including his water bottle!). Now this guy is almost dead there with out any thing, hungry, thirsty, scorched in the hot sun.
Now a friend of him is passing by that way. He has a lot of water. So, the man who is in bad situation shouted to his friend for help. His friend ran towards to him and gave him water. He felt re-energized and got back on his journey along with his friend.
A similar incident happened to me about 7 years ago. I was in a very bad financial situation and in need of money of about 15000/-, to further my career. I emailed some of my friends for help including my senior Laxmi Narayana who was studying in USA at that time. Only later, I came to know that he himself was studying in USA using loans. But the reply came almost instantly the next day with the credit card details!
Of course, I was not in a desert or nobody robbed me. But when someone helps you when you are in need, that's a great thing! Especially when the person who is lending, is not even sure whether the receiver will be able to return it. You may think the amount is not significant, but such things at the crucial moments will give good impetus to us for moving forward and keep going.
We both are working in USA now and our friendship is always growing. Is n't the word 'Compassion' beautiful?
