How to Highlight an Interesting Aspect of the Picture using Photoshop

Ever wondered how to bring something out of your photograph in a striking way? How about showing-off the cool wrist watch of yours? Or How about drawing more viewer’s attention to a colorful pet puppy that you are hugging?

I was playing with Photoshop and came up with this idea. The tip I am going to mention below can be helpful in many ways. For example, when we want to help our good friend by drawing viewers’ attention to the jewelry in some pictures that are shot on her marriage.

I want to give credit to sulekha.com first for using this picture from their website. I am using this image because it has a lot of jewelry in it.

Make a copy of the picture. Open the picture in Adobe Photoshop.

Then go to layer -> duplicate layer or you can choose Ctrl + J from your key board.

Then make the image as grayscale using Ctrl + Shift + U from your keyboard.

Then you erase all the jewelry!

Use the eraser tool and erase the jewelry. That’s simple!!

What we have actually done is we ‘erased’ the duplicate layer that we just created. You can increase/decrease the size of the brush by using opened square bracket ‘[ ‘ or closed square bracket ‘]’.

After editing the image, it will look like this:

Hi Ramya nice work..you should have used different pic.In spite of hilighting the jewellery, Anushka is drawing my attention. smilies/smiley.gifjust kidding..thanks for sharing this interesting aspect.
