Can this be God's Favorite Hobby?

I sometimes used to wonder 'What are God's hobbies?' Or what is something that God really enjoys doing? Can it be cricket? football? tennis? or birdwatching? Before we explore what His favorite hobby is, can we know who He is? Some people think that because there is evil in this world, there is no God. How can God let evil things happen to good people? Why not God just appear and destroy all the evil in this world?

Can you guess why? God loves evil people. God loves Adolf Hitler. God loves Osama Bin Laden. We think that these people are evil because of their evil deeds, so does God. That does not stop here. He also sees us as bad people! A gentleman once explained me this in a simple example. If someone steals a small candy from a Wal-Mart store, the sensor beeps at the exit while he/she is leaving the store. If someone steals an expensive jewelery, then also the sensor beeps. It beeps no matter what the cost of item that is stolen.

I am not saying that Wal-Mart is God here, or God works like Wal-Mart. It seems that God responds similarly to any kind of evil, no matter whether we think it is small or big. To God, someone who murdered one person can be just the same as someone who killed millions of people. Someone who stole a quarter dollar, is same to Him as one who stole a million dollar. This sounds shocking to many, but what if that is the fact? God does not go by statistics and numbers, rather He looks at our intentions. If the intention is evil, the deed is evil no matter whether the effect of that evil intention is on one person or thousands.

The One who created this vast universe out of nothing, cannot just be energy or impersonal God. He is a very personal God. He is very creative. God wants to use seemingly undeserved people (like criminals, prostitutes, the abused, the poor, the weak and the low) for doing His work by conquering first their hearts with His love. He likes to humble the pride with the meek, overcome the learned with the foolish. That is one reason why Jesus said "Prostitutes and sinners will come into Kingdom of God before you". It is because they know what they are doing is wrong, and are willing to humble themselves. Self-righteous people will have problem in admitting their wrongs though. We tend to compare ourselves with the big criminals or sinners, and feel better about ourselves.

So, why doesn't God just come and destroy all the evil? The answer is that He is doing it. How? By changing the hearts of evil people and conquering them with His love. He does not seem to want to destroy evil people first, rather He wants to destroy the evil in their hearts. This process has been happening slowly and it can take thousands of years. But a time will come, that even after knowing how loving and forgiving God is, evil people may still chose to do evil things. What will happen to them then? They get destroyed by themselves primarily because they willingly chose not to abide in His love.  The way how God chose to destroy the evil is like a chain reaction. This had been ignited about two thousand years ago at its best. The fire is still alive and spreading rapidly to the ends of this world.

Jesus said "I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure". He also taught that "The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough".

Thanks for your comment.
I don't think so.
God's favorite hobby is to destroy the evil and embrace the 'sinners' who he actually created in his image, but are lost.
