Interestingly, I have been asked to explain this by many of my friends. The verse refers to Jesus’ healing of a blind man.  Depending upon what religion one comes from, the explanation differs. I would like to paraphrase what Joseph Stowell (Moody Bible Institute) had to say.

I sometimes used to wonder 'What are God's hobbies?' Or what is something that God really enjoys doing? Can it be cricket? football? tennis? or birdwatching? Before we explore what His favorite hobby is, can we know who He is? Some people think that because there is evil in this world, there is no God. How can God let evil things happen to good people?

When I was about 10 yrs old, I had a friend called Subba Rao. Subba Rao was a rough and tough guy, and of my age. We were good buddies. We used to fight often but we always become buddies again.  We used to get into fights for very small things.
