I liked the words "God has given me this gift to understand, love and take care of them". I completely agree with you. I recently saw some videos on PETA. I was a non-vegetarian. But now I have switched over to a vegetarian.

I don't think it is difficult to avoid non-vegetarian food, because in India there are so many Brahmins who live on a vegetarian diet through out their life. Most of them are well built, look good and are healthier.

And I enjoy their food, which I happen to feast frequently during ceremonies and festivals. - a guest

I am really impressed that atleast you are trying...whatever the reason may be. People usually have craving and temptations towards bad things. I have never heard people saying that they have a craving for salad or fruits or cottage cheese...ha ha - a guest

i know they taste good..but not better than the suffering they go through....so, if you keep everything in mind and do a little research, you can get a better substitute....taste wise as well as nutrition wise - a guest

Hi Saumya,

Great article..As someone who shares your beliefs 100% and practices them 99% (eggs being the exception occasionally), I agree with you that it is not difficult to be a vegetarian.
